If you want to have ”true” fighting, then go to any bar on Saturday night. There, late at night, in the parking lot beside the dumpster, you wont have to worry about any rules.Vale Tudo literally means anything is allowed. In reality in means minimal rules, not no rules. UFC was started as an expression of vale tudo — it was advertised as No Holds Barred — by Rorion Gracie.Personally, I prefer bare knuckle. But I also realize that injured fighters (hands) can only fight so long.–

Imagine fight club, except you’re allowed to talk about it, and everybody in the club knows BJJ. That’s vale tudo

I would say it’s a sport or set of rules. Some people style their MMA gyms as ‘Vale Tudo’ schools, however.
