when i see those kicks he does i can’t help thinking, what damage it would do to a human rib/neck/leg. Or mayby the worst possible thing ….the groin…. :-S

Bas was such a monster. Would still love to see him fight Randy Coulture or some other legend.

I assume you’re an expert from your critique of a world renowned fighter. What techniques would you reccomend when multiple attackers don’t surround you and fight one at a time like in the movies, but instead punch and kick while others drag you to the ground. In your expert opinion what “standing techniques” would you employ in that scenario. Funny how everyone grasps that they are not NFL, or NBA material; but can never quite accept that others are superior fighters.

it dont matter how good a fighter u r if your fighting a multiple attackers you need to be smart and run straight to 1 person then once u gota way keep running if they still chasing u take them 1 by 1 just dont stop running and try to fyt all of them at the same time you aint got a chance once 1 of them got a hold of you so be smart thats all i can say cuz i already experienced both situation

t’s not about being a superior fighter nor did I claim to be a world renowned fighter, I don’t know what to do in a situation like that, I do know however to NOT get down to the ground because the other attackers will try to stomp you then and you’re too busy performing some leg lock.

  8. Blaphtome Says:

Agreed, you did not claim to be world renown; Bas did not claim to be teaching taking on multiple opponents. The point is; no one is fully prepared for such a situation. But I can guarantee that if one spends equal time striking and grappling; they will be better prepared for just such a situation. I’m certain Bas knows better than to heel hook someone with his buddies standing around, and I am also certain that his grappling base will make him much harder to drag down in that scenario. No?
